Block Gravity Forms date picker dates the easy way
With this free WordPress plugin you can adjust the date picker to prevent out-of-range requests. It was built to solve the needs of tourism businesses using Gravity Forms.
How does it work?
There are three kinds of restriction and they can be combined. Change the values of each one and watch how the calendar responds: it is exactly what a visitor sees in your form.
Blocked dates and ranges
Add a single day (December 25th, say, when tourism businesses are closed) or a whole range (a long weekend, for instance).
- Leave the end date empty to block a single day, or fill it in to block the whole range at once.
- Dates before today are always blocked, with no extra configuration.
- It can apply to every form, to a single form, or to one date field.

Minimum advance notice
Require bookings to be made a minimum number of days ahead, from 0 to 365. It keeps out requests you cannot get to in time.
- “Today” comes from your site’s time zone, not from the visitor’s clock.

Weekdays
Block one or more days of the week — every Sunday, for example — without adding each date by hand.
- It combines with the other two rules: a closed range and Sundays, at the same time.

Frequently asked questions
Is this plugin free?
Completely. “Date Picker Blocker for Gravity Forms” is entirely free and I have no plans to charge for it. I built it out of recurring needs from current tourism clients. Feel free to modify it however you like: the code is on GitHub.
